Maria has an
array of experience in the wellness industry and is semi-retired from the legal
field where she worked as a law office administrator and legal secretary for
over 30 years. Ms. Quezada has
been very active in the legal community.
Maria was President of the National Association for Legal Professionals,
Orange County Chapter (NALS of OC), from 2003 to 2004. She served on the Board of NALS of OC as the
Director of Advertising, starting in 2001.
Ms. Quezada has written many articles on health and beauty for NALS of
OC's online newsletter entitled Legalities.
She attended the
University of California, Irvine, and obtained certification in Human Resources
Management in 1990. Thereafter, for five
years, she was featured as a guest lecturer in the Paralegal Certificate Program
at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California, teaching interviewing and communication
skills.
In 1999, she received specialized phyto-aromatherapy training in
Provence, France, at the Orto de Provenco Aromatherapy Retreat Center in Aurel, under the direction
of world-renowned Master Aromatherapist, Dr. Malte Hozzel, founder of The
Aromatherapist USA. Maria is a member
of the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA). She has done volunteer work for many
worthwhile organizations, including the Corazon de Vida Foundation, in Irvine,
California.
She regularly presents
workshops not only on aromatherapy, but also on natural skin care, Reiki energy therapy, and personal development. Maria
incorporates aromatherapy into all of her holistic practices. She has developed several aromatherapy skin
care lines, including aroma-now, White
Gold Frankincense, and Reiki Natural.
Her primary passion
is teaching, and she loves to travel.
Maria has traveled to the Caribbean, the Bahamas, many countries in
Europe including Greece, Egypt, and many parts of Mexico.
Ms. Quezada is originally from
Teocaltiche, a small town near Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Maria's philosophy
is "After all is said and done, what truly matters is the love we give." She believes that aromatherapy and Reiki are ways to give unconditionally
of your love and light.
